While her days are spent in the office dedicated to The Lanby, Chloe’s mornings are all about self-care and family. But as we know all too well, self-care is not one-size-fits-all. So we took a look at what that means for our CEO. Quick hint: Mauri, sculpt and lemon water.

What does a typical weekday morning look like?

7AM: Alarm goes off, which is usually around when my 8 month old, Mauricio, wakes up. I quickly throw on some work out clothes, brush my teeth and get him out of his crib. Seeing his face light up when I walk in the room is the best part of my day. I get him dressed, amidst eating him up, and head to the kitchen for his breakfast. Making his breakfast is my second favorite thing. It usually consists of some combination of greek or coconut yogurt with oatmeal, almond butter, and fruit, or scrambled eggs with cheese and avocado. I don’t know why, but seeing him devour his breakfast is very gratifying.

7:30AM: Start a 30-min workout (either on Obé or Soto Sculpt), which is usually some form of sculpt, HIIT or barre class. I love to plop Mauri on my bed with some toys while I work out. He’s a great distraction.

8 AM: Jump in the shower and get ready for work. I usually pack my breakfast and lunch at home the night before using a deep reserve of soft-boiled eggs, chopped vegetables and dinner leftovers. Before I head out, I heat up my lemon water, sprinkle some cayenne pepper on top, and take it with me to go.

8:15AM: I’ll walk to work if I have the time, which usually takes about 35 minutes. I’ll either listen to a podcast or just use the time to think. If I’m pressed for time, I’ll take the bus, which gets me there in 15-20 min.

8:45AM: Pick up a coffee (I prefer it simple: drip coffee with a splash of almond milk) and arrive at the office to start my day!

9:30/10AM: Based on my morning schedule, I’ll find some time in between meetings to have breakfast at my desk. I try to limit how much coffee I consume before breakfast. Drinking coffee on an empty stomach can spike your cortisol levels, so as someone who’s struggled with hormonal balance, this is something I try to avoid!

Do you have a go-to breakfast?

I prepare my breakfast to take with me to the office. If I’m in the mood for salty, I’ll have three soft boiled eggs with avocado and sauteed vegetables. If I’m feeling sweet, I mix 1 tbsp of chia seeds with ½ cup of Malk almond milk, 1 serving of Cocojune coconut yogurt, and top it with cinnamon and ProGranola from Julian Bakery (I swear by their peanut butter granola).

What’s a morning habit you’re looking to change?

I spend too much money on coffee. I’m ordering a french press to the office as we speak.

What’s a morning habit you’re looking to implement?

Wake up at 6am instead of 7am. I’d love to work or work out before my son wakes up so I can spend more time with him before I head out.

What’s a non-negotiable for your mornings?

30 min of movement, even if it’s my walk work.

What’s your morning drink of choice?

Hot lemon + cayenne pepper

Do your mornings look different on the weekends?

Most definitely - I take my time to enjoy Mauricio while he’s awake, which usually involves a dance party. I love putting my music on and dancing with him. Once I put him down for his nap at 9ish, I’ll start a workout, which is usually a longer version of my week-day workouts. After he wakes up at 11, we’ll feed him his lunch and head out for a long walk through Central Park.
