Tell us about yourself and why you joined The Lanby. What were you looking for or trying to solve?
We are health optimizers who spend an embarrassing percentage of our day working to improve our healthspan. Our favorite podcasts are medical podcasts. From smart watches, rings, beds, and CGMs, to nutrition and fitness apps, we love tracking as many dimensions of our health and fitness as we can. Our problem was that we could not find a healthcare provider that shared our obsession with wellness and preventative care. We needed a strategist to help us coordinate our fitness, nutrition, biometrics, and bloodwork. We needed a "board of advisors" to gut check all of the health research and biohacking experiments we engaged in. When we discovered The Lanby, it was as if our prayers had finally been answered.
Describe your experience as a member. What has been your favorite part or the most valuable benefit?
For us, the most valuable function of The Lanby is the healthcare team's ability to connect all the dots between our various wellness initiatives and priorities. We are drowning in data and studies. The Lanby provides us with a team of experts who help keep us afloat and filter the signal from the noise. They empower us to make data-driven decisions about what is working and what isn't. They are our medical “brain trust” and our first line of defense when anything feels off.
What has your Care Team provided that you weren’t able to get anywhere else?
What The Lanby uniquely offers is a welcome dose of warmth and support. The intimacy we feel with our Care Team simply wasn't present with any other healthcare provider we've worked with. It filled a void in our lives that we didn't know existed. The standard American healthcare system is siloed and lonely. You only realize that once you join a tightly-knit community like the Lanby. As they say, "If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together". When it comes to our health, we plan to go as far as we can, and with The Lanby, we no longer feel alone in our efforts.
What has been your greatest victory since joining The Lanby?
Getting Continuous Glucose Monitors! We've been trying to get our hands on those devices for years. The Lanby finally made that possible for us. And importantly, our team was there to guide us through the process of selecting the right type, getting them fitted properly, and interpreting the results. A close runner up would be getting "switched on" to light therapy -- that has become an integral part of our morning routine.
