Most of us reach for the same thing when a headache sets in or a workout leaves us sore: a bottle of ibuprofen or acetaminophen that has lived in the cabinet for years. Conventional pain relievers work, and they have their place. But many people are looking for something they feel better about taking often, especially as they pay closer attention to what goes into their bodies.

That is the gap Relivaid was built to fill. It is a naturally-derived pain support product, and the first release from Trelli, a company focused on cleaner options for the everyday medicine cabinet.

What Is Relivaid?

Relivaid is a fast-acting pain support formula designed as an alternative to conventional over-the-counter options. Rather than a single synthetic drug, it brings together three naturally-derived ingredients chosen for how they work together: a compound called PEA, a concentrated ginger extract, and a low dose of caffeine. It is fast-acting enough for an everyday ache, and because it is formulated to be safe for daily use, it can also support people managing ongoing discomfort, not only the occasional flare.*

The logic is simple. Pain rarely travels a single road, so Relivaid was designed to support more than one of the body's own pathways at the same time.* Just as important, each ingredient is included at a meaningful dose, not the token amount found in many supplements that list impressive ingredients but include too little of them to matter.

How Does It Work?

Two ingredients do most of the work, through two different routes. The first is PEA (palmitoylethanolamide). The name is unfamiliar, but the molecule is not exotic: your body makes PEA on its own, releasing more in tissues that are stressed or inflamed to help calm pain and quiet the immune response. It has been studied in people for decades. Rather than blocking the same enzymes conventional pain relievers target, PEA works largely by activating a receptor called PPAR-α and settling overactive immune cells.* A 2023 analysis pooling 11 randomized controlled trials found PEA meaningfully reduced pain versus placebo, with a reassuring safety profile.

The second is ginger, a bio-optimized, concentrated extract that has real inflammation-balancing  activity, helping calm the inflammatory signals (certain cytokines) that drive everyday aches.* Finally, a low dose of caffeine (about 50 mg, less than a cup of coffee) is included not as a stimulant but because research shows a small amount can improve how well pain-support ingredients are absorbed and how effectively they work.* In early customer feedback, most people feel Relivaid began to work within about 30 minutes.*

What Makes It Different From a Typical Supplement

Many supplements include an impressive ingredient list and then fall short on the doses that actually do the work. Relivaid was built the other way around: a short list of naturally-derived ingredients, each included at a level supported by research, manufactured in the United States in a facility that follows good manufacturing practices, and third-party tested.

This matters to our team for a personal reason. Trelli's founder developed a gastrointestinal bleed from regular ibuprofen use and could not find an effective naturally-derived alternative. Relivaid grew directly out of that experience, the product he wished had been on the shelf.

Built With a Medical Advisory Board

Every Trelli formulation is developed with our medical advisory board, a group of physicians, scientists, and clinical experts who help guide and vet the company's products. The board includes Dr. Robert Bonakdar (MD, FACN, ABOIM, FAAFP); Dr. Jacqueline Jacques (ND); Dr. Anne Kennard (DO, OBGYN, FACLM, Dipl-ABOIM); Dr. Stephen Dahmer (MD), Medical Director at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Igor Koturbash (MD, PhD); Dr. Stacey Bell (DSc in nutrition); Dr. Lisa Offringa (PhD); Dr. Margo Bachman (DACM, L.Ac., CFMP); Dr. Tina Kaczor (ND, FABNO); Dr. Jennifer Greer (ND, MEd).

We believe a product meant for the medicine cabinet should be held to a real clinical standard. That is the bar we hold ourselves to.

When to Reach for It

Relivaid is formulated for adults, for both the occasional ache and the kind of ongoing discomfort that sends many of us to the medicine cabinet again and again:*

  • Tension headaches after a long or stressful day
  • Menstrual cramps
  • Muscle soreness after a workout or active weekend
  • The occasional back, neck, or joint ache

You can take Relivaid as needed for those moments, and because it is formulated to be safe for daily use, you can also choose it daily  to help manage ongoing pain or persistent inflammation, not only the occasional flare. For those who would rather not lean on over-the-counters so often, it offers a new choice they can feel good about reaching for regularly.

As with anything new, if you are pregnant, nursing, managing a health condition, or taking medication, talk with your care team before starting Relivaid.

The Bottom Line

Built on real ingredients, real doses, and real clinical input, think of Relivaid less as a replacement for everything in your cabinet and more as a thoughtful first option for pain support.*  If you have questions about whether Relivaid is a good fit for you, your Care Team at The Lanby is a great place to start.
