Why We Don’t Bundle Diagnostics Into Our Membership Fee
At The Lanby, our approach is different — we intentionally keep diagnostics separate from membership, and here’s why.

A primary care membership for patients who want more. Primary Care. Nutrition. Wellness. All under one roof.
Because personalized care means more than packaged tests.
In the age of wellness optimization, diagnostics have become the new badge of honor. Full-body MRIs, genetic screens, advanced biomarker panels—longevity clinics and high-end practices are packaging these into glossy, all-inclusive memberships. It looks impressive. It feels thorough. But here’s the truth: bundling diagnostics into a flat membership fee creates the illusion of value, not the reality of better health.
At The Lanby, we take a different approach. We don’t bundle diagnostics into our membership. Here’s why.
Not Everyone Needs the Same Tests
Even the most data-hungry optimizers don’t benefit from running every test, every year. Timing matters. A cardiac CT at 35? Probably not necessary. A full-body MRI every 12 months? Unlikely to change your trajectory.
Smart medicine means tailoring diagnostics to:
- Your personal and family history
- Your current symptoms and risks
- Where you are in your health journey
Our goal isn’t to give you the most tests. It’s to recommend the right tests at the right time. That’s how you protect both your health and your wallet.
Your Insurance Should Work for You
Here’s another overlooked truth: a lot of diagnostics are already covered by insurance. Baking them into a membership fee makes you pay twice—once in your premiums, and again in your membership.
We’d rather help you use the coverage you already have. If a test can be billed through insurance, we’ll coordinate it that way. The money you save can be redirected toward services that actually improve outcomes: nutrition support, health coaching, and the ongoing care that makes prevention stick.
Data Without Guidance Is Just Data
Longevity clinics love to sell the promise of “comprehensive insight.” But more results don’t automatically lead to better health. What matters is knowing which results are actionable, and having a trusted team to help you interpret and apply them.
That’s where your dollars should go: not into a one-time bundle of diagnostics, but into an ongoing relationship with a team that:
- Deciphers which tests are worth your time
- Provides context for the results
- Turns data into a personalized action plan
Trust Comes From Objectivity
When every member gets the same suite of diagnostics, it’s hard to tell if those tests are for your benefit—or for the clinic’s bottom line. By not bundling, we remove the conflict of interest. Our members know we only recommend what’s truly worth it, not what pads a package.
That objectivity is what builds trust. And trust is what empowers you to stay the course, knowing your care team has your best interests—not financial incentives—at heart.
The Future of Diagnostics: Guidance Over Glamour
Consumer diagnostics are here to stay. From wearables to full-body imaging, access to data has never been easier. But the real differentiator isn’t getting the data. It’s knowing what to do with it.
At The Lanby, we focus your efforts where they’ll matter most. We personalize diagnostics to your unique journey, leverage insurance when possible, and prioritize ongoing care over one-off experiences.
Because your health isn’t improved by a package of tests—it’s improved by consistent, personalized action over time.
